by Sports Information

SAN JOSE, CA -- The San Jose SaberCats are calling all aspiring professional football players in the Bay Area and beyond to showcase their talent at an official team tryout on Saturday, May 10th, at Milpitas High School, located at 1285 Escuela Parkway, Milpitas, California 95035.

This is a prime opportunity for athletes looking to take the next step in their football careers and earn a chance to join the SaberCats roster for the upcoming National Gridiron League season.

Led by new Head Coach Michael Nash and the SaberCats assistant coaching staff, the tryout will begin promptly at 9:00 AM. All participants are encouraged to arrive early to complete registration and warm up before drills begin. Gates will open at 8:00 AM.

Coach Nash brings a disciplined and detail-oriented approach rooted in his background in military service and law enforcement, combined with years of coaching experience at the high school level. During a series of position-specific and team-based drills, his staff will evaluate athletes on speed, agility, strength, football IQ, and overall competitiveness.

There is a $50 participation fee, which will be collected at the gate upon arrival. Athletes should bring cleats, workout gear, and any personal protective equipment they may require. Water will be available on-site.

This tryout is an open invitation for hungry and driven athletes looking to prove they belong on a professional football field. With roster spots still available heading into training camp, a standout performance on May 10th could be your ticket to wearing the SaberCats uniform this season.
